A Memorandum of Understanding was signed today, April 14, 2025, at the Government building of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton (BPK) in Goražde, between the BPK Ministry of Education and representatives of the GOPA team. This important document aims to improve vocational and dual education by strengthening and enhancing the connection between educational institutions and the business sector. The initiative also supports the alignment of educational programs with the demands of Industry 4.0, helping to prepare young people for careers in a rapidly evolving technological and industrial landscape.
Representatives of the business community of the Bosnian-Podrinje Canton were also present at the signing ceremony. On that occasion, they expressed full support for the project and emphasized their willingness to actively participate in its practical implementation.
Representatives of the Ministry of Education and the business community expressed their gratitude to the Government of Switzerland and the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for their ongoing support and assistance to Bosnia and Herzegovina, both through this and many other projects aimed at the development of education and the strengthening of local community capacities.
This agreement represents an important step toward the modernization of the education system in BPK, with a special focus on equipping young people with skills relevant to the labor market and enhancing cooperation between the education sector and the real economy—particularly in the context of digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
