Today, organized by one of the leading companies in the real sector, Ećo Company d.o.o., in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and the Institute for the Development of Pre-University Education of Sarajevo Canton, an expert seminar was held for the practical training of teachers from technical secondary schools in Sarajevo Canton.

The seminar was dedicated to strengthening cooperation between the education system and the labour market, with a particular focus on promoting dual-oriented vocational education and training in the wood-processing industry.

The seminar programme was structured into several thematic sessions, enabling participants to gain insight into key aspects of modern wood industry operations in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event was opened by representatives of the organizing institutions, who emphasized the importance of direct cooperation between educational institutions and employers in improving the preparation of young professionals for the labour market.

Through detailed presentations and practical examples, participants were introduced to modern technologies and approaches in furniture production, as well as to the specific competencies and skills sought by employers in this sector.

The seminar concluded with a guided tour of the production facilities of Ećo Company d.o.o., where teachers had the opportunity to observe first-hand how theoretical knowledge and practical skills are applied in a real working environment.

This initiative represents an important step toward better aligning education with labour market requirements and further strengthening the partnership between the education sector and the economy. Participants expressed satisfaction with the content and organization of the seminar and showed strong interest in the continuation of similar cooperation activities.
