The Ministry of Education of Sarajevo Canton has signed a cooperation agreement with GOPA Worldwide Consultants. The signing ceremony was attended by Efka Heather, Project Manager, and Naida Hota-Muminović, Minister of Education of Sarajevo Canton. This activity is part of the project “Strengthening the System of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in BiH,” implemented by GOPA Worldwide Consultants in Bosnia and Herzegovina and funded by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC).
The cooperation agreement represents more than a formal partnership; it reflects a concrete commitment to jointly develop a relevant and high-quality vocational education system that meets the demands of the modern labour market. By strengthening quality assurance in technical and vocational education through dual-oriented approaches, smart management, and innovative work-based learning models, the agreement aims to build an educational system that responds effectively to the dynamic changes in the economy and society.
The primary goal of this agreement is to improve the regulatory framework for technical and vocational education and training through the exchange of good practices and the establishment of sustainable mechanisms for cooperation between the education sector and the private sector. Such collaboration is essential for developing a skilled and competent workforce aligned with labour market needs, while also enhancing the attractiveness and social value of vocational education in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
