In line with ongoing reform processes and the evolving needs of the labour market, activities have been launched in Central Bosnia Canton to harmonize vocational education with the challenges of the modern era, including rapid technological development.

The working meeting was attended by Minister Bojan Domić and members of the GOPA team, led by Team Leader Efka Heder. The discussion focused on modernizing the legal framework for vocational education to ensure alignment with labour market requirements.

It was agreed that a new working group meeting will be held in mid-next month, expanded to include representatives from both the educational and business sectors, with the aim of finalizing the draft law and submitting it for parliamentary procedure.

Members of the working group expressed their full commitment to continuing intensive cooperation and ensuring the quality finalization of the Draft Law on Secondary Vocational Education and Training. Following the formal part of the meeting, participants conducted a detailed review of specific articles of the draft law to make additional adjustments and prepare for the next phase of the legislative process.

This marks an important step toward a modern, functional vocational education system that is adapted to the real needs of young people and the labour market.
