Travnik, 15 September 2025 – A working meeting was held at the premises of the Government of Central Bosnia Canton (KSB/SBK), bringing together representatives of the Ministry of Education, Science, Youth, Culture, and Sports of KSB/SBK and experts from the GOPA team.
The main topic of the meeting was the finalisation of the Draft Law on Secondary Vocational Education, a key document aimed at enhancing the quality and relevance of vocational education in the canton.
During the meeting, participants discussed the final provisions of the draft law, with particular emphasis on:
- Harmonising legislation with European standards and best practices;
- Strengthening cooperation between educational institutions and the business sector;
- Improving curricula;
- Securing better conditions for students and teachers in vocational schools;
- Fostering stronger collaboration between the educational and business communities in order to align educational programmes with labour market needs.
It was agreed that the Draft Law will be submitted for further procedure and opened for public consultation, ensuring the participation of all relevant stakeholders and the wider public in its development.
