The Project Manager, Mrs. Efka Heder, and the Key Expert for Public-Private Dialogue, Mr. Amir Sarajlić, attended the regional conference “Smart Balkans: Shaping Skills for a Sustainable, Competitive Future – Navigating VET and the Digital and AI World,” held on 9 October in Budva, Montenegro.
The conference, organized by the Regional Challenge Fund (RCF), brought together representatives from ministries, businesses, educational institutions, international organizations, and donors. The focus of the event was on how vocational education and training (VET) systems in the Western Balkans can adapt to digital transformation, the development of artificial intelligence, and the requirements of sustainable development.
Through a series of panel discussions, workshops, and networking sessions, participants explored ways to strengthen partnerships between educational institutions and the business sector, with the goal of developing relevant curricula and modern skills that align with labour market needs. The Minister of Education of the Federation, Mrs. Clear Duraković, emphasized the importance of the private sector’s role and the need for structured cooperation to ensure the successful development of professional and technical skills in line with contemporary technological advancements in the digital age.
The participation of the project team at the conference contributed to the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of public-private dialogue, which plays a key role in enhancing the quality and relevance of vocational education in the region.
