The Federal Minister of Labour and Social Policy, Mr. Adnan Delić, together with his associates, held a meeting on 19 September 2025 with a delegation from the Employers’ Association of the Federation of BiH and a representative of the GOPA team, Mr. Amir Sarajlić, key expert for public-private dialogue. The meeting focused on current issues related to amendments to the Law on Employment of Foreign Nationals, the Draft Law on Employment Mediation and Social Security of Unemployed Persons, as well as the new text of the Labour Law. Minister Delić emphasized his willingness to work together with social partners to develop high-quality and implementable legal solutions that will improve the labour market and contribute to a better standard of living for citizens.

The Director of the Employers’ Association of FBiH, Mr. Mario Nenadić, and key expert for public-private dialogue, Mr. Amir Sarajlić, presented an initiative to include work-based learning as a special category in the new draft Labour Law of the Federation of BiH. The proposed solution aims to more precisely define the status of students with employers and create legal certainty for employers who accept students for work-based learning.

Minister Delić expressed his readiness to include work-based learning in the new draft Labour Law of the Federation of BiH as a category that would more precisely define the status of students with employers and create conditions for legal certainty for employers who host students for work-based learning.

It was concluded at the meeting that intensive dialogue between the Ministry and the Employers’ Association will continue in the coming period, in order to jointly achieve the best solutions for the advancement of the labour market in the Federation.
