Sarajevo, 29 October 2025 – The first meeting of the Steering Committee of the Project “Strengthening Secondary Vocational Education and Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held today in Sarajevo, chaired by Ms. Georgette Bruchez, Deputy Ambassador and Director of the Cooperation Program at the Embassy of Switzerland in BiH.

The Steering Committee, composed of representatives from the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the Ministry of Civil Affairs, the Employers’ Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Employers’ Union of Republika Srpska, and the Foreign Trade Chamber of Bosnia and Herzegovina, plays a key role in ensuring cross-sectoral and inter-institutional coordination, aligning project objectives with reform priorities, and monitoring the progress of planned activities.

During the meeting, the Rules of Procedure of the Steering Committee were adopted, a framework for regular reporting and strategic decision-making was agreed upon, and the project’s objectives and framework, as well as the results achieved in the first six months of implementation, were presented along with the next steps. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of regular communication and the active involvement of all relevant stakeholders in the process of improving secondary vocational education in accordance with the goals of the “Growth and Development Plan.”

The meeting was also attended online by the project manager from GOPA HQ, Juliette Butticker. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all members of the Steering Committee for their dedicated support in achieving the project’s objectives.
