The conference “Economic Reforms and Industrial Perspective: Challenges and Opportunities for the BiH Economy in 2026” was held on 13 November 2025 at Hotel Hills in Ilidža, Sarajevo, organized by the Employers’ Association of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The event brought together representatives of employers, government institutions, trade unions, international and domestic organizations, and the academic community to assess prospects for industrial and economic growth in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on European integration, reindustrialization, and the development of a skilled workforce.

As a key element in strengthening the competitiveness of the BiH economy, the conference particularly emphasized the importance of vocational education and the alignment of educational programs with industry requirements. The event also featured the presentation of the Assessment of the Implementation of the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (UNGPBHR) in the business sector of BiH, along with proposals for involving educational institutions and vocational training programs in the process of strengthening human resources in industry.

GOPA team representatives, Project Manager Efka Heder and key expert Amir Sarajlić, participated in the conference, following the discussions, panels, and presentations. By connecting industry, education, and international standards, Bosnia and Herzegovina is laying the foundations for a competitive and sustainable economy of the future.
