Today, organized by the project “Strengthening Secondary Vocational Education and Training in BiH,” a three-day workshop dedicated to quality assurance in secondary vocational education according to the EQAVET framework began at the Garden Hotel in Konjic. The workshop brought together representatives of secondary vocational schools from all cantons and the Brčko District, as well as experts and mentors, with the aim of exchanging good practices and planning concrete steps for improving the quality of education in line with the EQAVET framework. The purpose of the workshop is to continue building the capacity of schools for conducting self-evaluation.

The first day of the workshop was marked by a formal opening and inspiring presentations. The introductory address was delivered by Efka Heder, Team Leader of the “Strengthening Secondary Vocational Education and Training in BiH” project, who emphasized the importance of joint efforts in enhancing the quality of education. Almir Tanović, Program Manager at the Swiss Embassy, welcomed the participants and highlighted the embassy’s ongoing investment in the development of secondary vocational education and training.

Emanuel Wüthrich from the Swiss Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training shared examples of good practice from Switzerland and engaged in discussion with participants, while Karol Jakubik from the Ministry of Education of the Slovak Republic presented Slovakia’s experience in quality assurance in vocational education. GOPA team representatives, Efka Heder and Amir Sarajlić, presented the basic principles of quality assurance.

The first day concluded in a relaxed and motivating atmosphere, encouraging participants to actively engage in the next stages of the workshop.

This activity was held as part of the project “Strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training System in BiH”, funded by the Government of Switzerland through the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), and implemented by GOPA Worldwide Consultants through its office in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
