On December 9, 2025, a conference and Education Fair titled “Adult Education as a Force for Community Development – Vision for the Future” was held at the premises of the Public Institution International Center for Children and Youth in Novo Sarajevo. This significant event, organized by DVV International – Office for BiH in cooperation with the Council for Adult Education of Sarajevo Canton, brought together numerous experts, representatives of institutions, organizations, and interested citizens with the aim of promoting and exchanging experiences in the field of adult education.
Members of the GOPA team, representing the project “Strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training System in BiH,” attended this event and actively followed the rich conference program. Throughout the day, participants had the opportunity to learn about current trends and challenges in adult education, as well as to engage in discussions on the current state and possibilities for improving this sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Special emphasis was placed on the importance of lifelong learning and its role in community development.
The fair featured various educational offers and programs intended for adults, allowing all attendees to gain useful information and establish new contacts with adult education providers in Sarajevo Canton. The event provided an excellent platform for exchanging ideas, networking, and inspiration for future projects and activities.
The project team “Strengthening the Technical and Vocational Education and Training System in BiH” continues to follow the most important developments in the field of education and, through its presence and engagement, contributes to strengthening the education system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
