The Tuzla Canton is increasingly positioning itself as an example of good practice in Bosnia and Herzegovina when it comes to advancing vocational education and its application in practice. The focus on connecting schools with the labor market is yielding concrete results, and reforms within the vocational education and training system are becoming more visible. Further progress was confirmed at a meeting held today by the Minister of Education and Science of Tuzla Canton, Ahmed Omerović, with representatives of the project “Strengthening the System of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in BiH.” During the meeting, the achievements so far were presented, with special praise given to schools from Tuzla Canton that are actively participating in quality assurance activities through the implementation of the European Quality Assurance Framework (EQAVET).

There was also discussion about new plans to enhance cooperation between the education system and the economy, with the aim of enabling students to acquire relevant knowledge and skills during their schooling. The meeting demonstrated a shared willingness of all actors to further strengthen this system and increase youth employability through the development of mechanisms for quality management of vocational education.
