As part of the project “Strengthening the System of Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” the first meeting of the Working Group for the Development of the Digital Platform for Work-Based Learning (WBL) was held.

During the meeting, the concept of the platform was presented, which will connect schools, companies, chambers, and relevant institutions, with the aim of establishing a unified and transparent system for planning, monitoring, and improving work-based learning.

Special attention was given to discussing the key functionalities of the platform, the institutional management model, as well as the operational solutions required for the implementation of the first phase, which includes the establishment of the basic platform and the registry.

The development of this platform represents an important step towards the modernization of the technical and vocational education and training system in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is also aligned with the priorities of the Reform Agenda and the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, particularly in the areas related to strengthening human capital, improving the quality of vocational education, and fostering stronger links between education and the labor market.

The platform will contribute to better connections between education and the economy, greater transparency of available work-based learning opportunities, as well as more efficient planning and monitoring of this segment of the education system. For young people, this means easier access to information about opportunities for gaining practical experience, while for employers, the platform will enable simpler and more transparent connections with educational institutions.
