The third day of the fourth workshop with nominated schools within the EQAVET process was held on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, and was dedicated to moving “from findings to change”—operationalizing recommendations from self-evaluation, strengthening the link with external evaluation, and preparing for collaborative learning and the promotion of vocational education.

The working part of the day was opened by GOPA’s quality assurance mentors, Ivona Čelebičić and Nedžada Faginović, with a session dedicated to the format and structure of the improvement action plan. Through hands-on work and guided examples, participants elaborated clear goals and expected results based on self-evaluation findings, defined success indicators (in line with the EQAVET framework), activity owners, timelines, and required resources. Special emphasis was placed on setting SMART objectives, establishing monitoring and reporting matrices, and identifying risks and assumptions.

Next, the GOPA team facilitated a joint discussion on the importance of self-evaluation and its connection to external evaluation. Participants mapped the “evidence trail” for key quality standards, agreed on minimum sets of documentation, and exchanged practices on how to translate self-evaluation results into measurable changes that are also recognizable in external evaluation.

The third day concluded with clear agreements: each school takes home a concrete draft action plan, an evidence map for external evaluation, and a framework for collaborative activities that will start in the coming weeks. In this way, the workshop further empowered schools to continue systematically and transparently improving the quality of vocational education in line with EQAVET standards.
