As part of the ongoing activities aimed at improving the work-based learning (WBL) system, the second meeting of the Working Group for the Development of the Digital Platform for WBL will take place on 24 June 2026 at Hotel Lipa in Travnik.
The meeting is dedicated to continuing the joint work on designing the future digital platform for work-based learning, with a particular focus on reflecting on the first workshop, analysing the data collected so far on WBL monitoring and the standardised data collection template, as well as considering the needs of the platform’s key users – schools, companies and education authorities.
Activities related to the development of the Digital Platform for WBL directly contribute to the implementation of the Reform Agenda, particularly the priorities related to human capital development, strengthening the relevance of vocational education and training, better aligning skills with labour market needs, enhancing cooperation between the education sector and the private sector, and using digital solutions for more efficient planning, monitoring and reporting within the education system.
Through a structured discussion, participants will examine existing practices, challenges and needs related to the organisation, monitoring and recording of work-based learning. Particular attention will be devoted to the needs of schools for more efficient planning and monitoring of students, the needs of companies for simpler expression of interest and engagement of mentors, and the needs of education authorities for improved oversight, verification, reporting and systematic monitoring of WBL.
One of the important segments of the meeting will focus on assessing the functionalities of the Digital Platform for WBL in relation to the actual needs of the system. In this way, efforts will be made to ensure that the future platform is practical, sustainable and user-oriented, and that it responds to the needs of all stakeholders involved in the work-based learning process.
The final part of the meeting will include the presentation of the template for entering existing WBL data and populating the digital platform through piloting in two administrative units of Bosnia and Herzegovina, representing the first practical step towards standardised data collection and the further development of the Digital Platform for Work-Based Learning.
Through an open and constructive discussion, the members of the Working Group will jointly define key conclusions and next steps that will guide the further development of the platform and its future implementation in practice.
This meeting represents an important step towards strengthening cooperation, trust and shared responsibility among all relevant stakeholders in building a more modern, interconnected and functional work-based learning system in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
