Sarajevo, 25 June 2026 – The event “Dialogue between Youth and Employers in Bosnia and Herzegovina” was held in Sarajevo, organized by the Centre for Development Evaluations and Social Research (CREDI) within the framework of the PATHFINDER project – “Unlocking the Potential of Youth on AI Learning for Active Transition to Employment through Democratic Participation.”
The event brought together young people, employers, civil society organizations, and other relevant stakeholders with the aim of exchanging views and experiences on the impact of artificial intelligence on the labour market, the challenges of youth employment, and the development of skills that will be crucial in the future.
The discussions particularly highlighted the importance of adapting educational programmes to contemporary technological changes, as well as the need for stronger cooperation between the education system and the business sector. Participants discussed the competencies that will be most in demand in the coming years and explored ways to facilitate young people’s transition from education to the labour market.
The event was also attended by Efka Heder, Team Leader and Eldin Sarajlić, Key Expert of the project “Strengthening the System of Secondary Vocational Education and Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, who had the opportunity to follow the exchange of experiences and proposals aimed at improving youth employability and developing the skills needed for the labour market of the future.
The conclusions and recommendations resulting from this dialogue represent a valuable contribution to future activities aimed at strengthening cooperation between the education system and employers and creating better opportunities for education and employment for young people in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
