On 11 June 2026, the “Ready for Business. Swiss-BiH Forum 2026” was held in Sarajevo, bringing together representatives of the private sector, public institutions, investors, and members of the diaspora with the aim of strengthening economic ties between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland. The Forum was organized by the Swiss Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with numerous partners from the business and institutional sectors.
Representing the GOPA project “Strengthening the System of Secondary Vocational Education and Training in Bosnia and Herzegovina”, the event was attended by Efka Heder, Project Team Leader, and Amir Sarajlić, Key Expert on Public-Private Dialogue.
The Forum programme featured discussions on investment and trade opportunities between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Switzerland, the application of innovation and artificial intelligence in business, and the role of the diaspora in the country’s economic development. Particular emphasis was placed on strengthening cooperation among the private sector, public institutions, and international partners, as well as on fostering new business opportunities and investments.
Participation in this event provided the project representatives with an opportunity to exchange experiences with stakeholders from the business and institutional sectors, establish new professional connections, and promote the importance of high-quality vocational education and training as a key driver of a competitive workforce and sustainable economic growth.
